Steve brought me across theDennebec in August of this year and yes, he is retiring after 16 years of service with the state. He will be missed by all of us and did a wonderful service of personal sacrifice to the hiking community. Who knows how many lives have been spared injury or worse because of his zeal to help us make it across the river… well done my friend and thanks for your commitment to the hiking community.
