Any opinions on the Sula hitch off of Chief Joseph or
Lost Trail Pass? What all is there in Sula? Anyone
hammered out mailing packages to any of the businesses
there?

Ditto on the Lima hitch/call to the Strangs. Any
opinions?

Thanks

Adam- When we got to the phone-booth another NB hiker was waiting for two hours to get get a hold of the Mountain View Motel to get a picked up at the pass. After he told us about his wait, my wife stuck her thumb out and the first car (a few minutes later) gave us a ride down.
Lima was a great stop Peats bar is the best, the grill your own steak was so much fun.
The guy working at the motel gave us a ride back to the trail.

We chimbed the freeway fence and hiched on I-15 (the only time we’ve hitched on a freeway, but traffic early on a Sept morning was very sparse). It didn’t take long to get a ride but the guy was a scary, distracted driver. The motel owners drove us back to the trail.

We didn’t go to Sula, but we have visited both Salmon and Wisdom. There was a lot more traffic on the road to Salmon than the road to Wisdom. It’s a bigger town with all the necessities. Wisdom is pretty limited. Sula is even more limited than Wisdom, I think.
