I found some interesting information today to solve some transportation issues that might arise or for someone who wants to do a segment hike.

I never knew it went from Leadville to Frisco once a day in the morning. From there you can catch Greyhound to Denver.
Or you can go Frisco to Leadville in the afternoon.
I spoke to Kathy at the Leadville Inn today. The will pick you up all the way down from Salida. I don’t know how far north they go, but at least to Tennessee pass. You do have to stay there a night and the pickup is extra. I found it was reasonable last year.
This will help me this year. I’m planning to get off the trail in Twin Lakes and let my son go on by himself. We can spend a night at the Leadville Inn, and then I can make my way back to Pueblo easily enough. It might mean a night in Denver, but I don’t mind.
