Just finished a hike of the John Muir Trail and High Sierra Trail. About 300 miles of bliss. This is a highly recommended ramble. The mosquitoes can be a bit bad in July in our experience, but the scenery has been the some of the best I have yet seen! (The ~70 mile High Sierra Trail is a great way to finish out the trip after summiting Whitney too.)

I didn’t know you were doing the JMT this year, I am starting on Sept 2nd. Still in the process of trying to figure out mail drops and everything. Can’t wait to be out there!!

I finished my JMT on 8/2. (see my trailjournal) It was the most phenomenal experience of my life. I can’t wait to get back on the Trail ASAP. I think I may do the Wonderland Trail next year. Anyone done it yet? I don’t see many journals here.
