Anyone out there interested in hiking who is a teacher during their summer break? I need that darn trail again. I am thinking about starting in Maine in June and just booking it as long as I can.

Windex, you won’t last long “booking” it up and down the AT. Try burning those books onto a CD-ROM and reading a few pages at a time at shelter computers.
By the way, do you have a wife & kids? You may want to seek a second opinion before trotting off for 3 months. Go to mortgageandbabies.com and see what answers you get there.

Windex, I’d love to hike again, I teach in Louisville, KY. I’m looking at next summer instead of this one, I don’t think I can get away so soon again. How far do you expect to get this summer? Are you still in Indiana?

I am actually a woman with a great husband that totally wants me to hike whenever and where I want… part of why I married him this past July was his openness to my need to roam.
Not sure what “Mr.Teach” meant by his/her comments, but I will assume that whomever he or she is is joking around.
I do still live in Indiana… tried to escape, but that plan was foiled by meeting the above mentioned great guy.
