Thanks to female hiker . .

On Friday June 14, I crossed the AT in Vermont while driving on Route 9 from Bennington to Brattleboro. As I passed the AT, a tall, blonde, healthy looking, female backpacker was exiting the woods. (she had a blue packcover and hiking poles) Maybe not an AT Thru-hiker, as it is early in the season. However, I just want to thank this woman for being a reminder of my own goal to thru-hike the AT. She was a vision, and came at a particularly tough time of day (a LONG drive from Ohio) during a particularly rough time of my life (transitions . . .). I don’t believe in angels, but if they exist–this was mine. On the other hand, I could have been hallucinating and some wicked fat palooka from the South Side of Chicago was my angel . . . hmmmmm.
