Has any run across him yet?

There have been several people who have ran into him so far. There has been some post on WhiteBlaze.net about him. They say he has run into some funding issues. But he is still hiking.

Check out his journal at trailjournals. He is called “one leg”. He was hiking with “Flash Hand” a deaf hiker, but I think that Flash Hand went ahead.

It is kind of weird to have the desire to hike the AT with funds being in question. If you are a single person with no dependents.

And that gets to the interesting point of how do you support your kids, if you can’t afford to hike the AT? Just curious. Do you choose one over the other?

It does seem awfully weird to me.

In my local paper here in my hometown, some people have had newspaper stories on their hike. Not sure why, is it really news? people are doing it every day:rolleyes
