Some time ago Andrea Dinsmore asked the pct-l list for any information it had regarding the location of Mountain Tripper. He was to have arrived there at River Haven, but has never shown up. Nor has he spoken with her again to tell her of a change of plans. Some of his gear is waiting for him there. I responded off list with what I knew, but she got no other news of his whereabouts. I’ve tried all three e-mail addresses he gave us with no response. I couldn’t find an on-line journal, tho he may have one. I got a phone number from Phoenix 411, but the address that goes with the number doesn’t match the one he left here. Last reports (from a sobo, if I recall) was that he was seen in either Dunsmuir or Castella, probably about Oct. 1st or so. Has anyone seen or heard from him after that??? If so, where was he? We think he was too far south to have run into bad weather problems when the northern Cascades were pounded, but then we have to remember that southern Oregon got some of that weather too, in smaller amounts. I haven’t called the number I got through 411 yet, but if we don’t know something more before Tues or so…I feel like I’ll need to. Thank you all for any info. you can give us.
