The Wilderness in June

I am planning to hike the wilderness section starting on June 14. Not certain on the amount of warm clothing necessary during this period. Is fleece necessary or can you get by with patagonia long sleeves, 2 short sleeve shirts and a frog togg outerwear, top and bottom. With the amount of food that must be carried on this trip, I do not wish to carry more clothes than needed. Appreciate the replies.

I always carry at least a fleece hat and vest backpacking in Maine. For layering at altitude, those rare 40 degree nights, and they double as a pillow. If you’re heading from Abol Bridge to Monson in late June you shouldn’t need more. Not resupplying at White House Landing? Good for you!
