Three Nights in the Whites/Presidentials

I am planning to do some backpacking in the White Mtns later this month. I'd like to go for 3 nights, hike anywhere from 5-10 mi per day, camp or stay in shelters (if available) at night. I'd like to hike portions of the AT but am more interested in some sort of loop hike that would get me back to my car at the end. Any recommendations of trails? I have all the AT maps for the area, just curious to see if those that know the area well have favorite hikes or must-see spots that would be do-able in this timeframe. Also, would you recommend doing this hike over a weekend, or during the week?

How about a Bondcliff Loop from the Wilderness trailhead off the Kanc?

Or Mt Liberty - Lafayette traverse via the AT and Old Bridal Path.

Or a Northern Presidentials traverse from Pinkham Notch or Great Gulf.

“During the week” would be my pick.

Another good loop you could try would be to take the AT north from Pinkham Notch up over Wildcat Mt and down to the Carter Notch Hut, where you can spend your first night. You'll get fabulous views of Mt Washington. For day 2, continue on up the AT to Carter Dome and then take a right down into the Wild River Valley. The trail down there parallels the Wild River and there's a nice shelter by the river down there. For day 3, ascend back up to the AT via the Moriah Brook Trail and spend the night at the Imp Campsite. There's a nice bench by the shelter there where you can watch the sun set behind the Presidentials. For day 4, continue south on the AT across the Carter Moriah range until you get to the 19 Mile Brook Trail. Take that trail back down to Rt 16, where it's a short hitch back down the road to Pinkham Notch. Enjoy!

I highly recommend the Bond Cliff Loop. Start at Lincoln Woods Parking lot off of the Kankamagus Highway (rt 112). Folow the wilderness trail to the Bond Cliff Trail. Camp the first night at Mt Guyot shelter/camp. Hit the AT just below the summit of Mt Guyot and follow that south. Camp second night at Garfield Shelter. You could opt for Greenleaf Hut (expensive & requires reservation). Continue sout on the AT along the Franconia Ridge head over Mt Liberty and Mt Flume along the Oseo Trail back to the Wilderness Trail and the Lincoln Woods parking lot. This Loop has many miles above TreeLine and over at least eight four thousand footers. My favorite loop in NH.

I should have added that you could spend the 3rd night at Liberty Springs Campsite. There are some other options for making this a nice 3 day hike. You could camp in the Pemi Wilderness just before you start your climb up Bond Cliff. You could spend a night at GailHead Hut (expensive and requires reservation.) You could stealth camp at Garfield Pond. Franconia Ridge and Garfield Ridge are wonderful but The ridge along the Bond Cliffs are amazing. You get a wonderful sense of wilderness and openness with no observable human structures other than the trail itself.
