Hi All,
I was planning on hiking the trail early spring next year (from GA to ME)I wasn’t looking to do it alone but possibly trying to co-ordinate a group of hikers together. Anyone interested or any suggestions, feedback…ect would be appreciated.
Thanks

Skipper, when you get there in the spring you will be hiking with a group of people, although coordinating a group of hikers is like herding cats.

Big B, maybe I should rephrase… Not looking for that many hikers maybe one or two more hiking partners.

Hey Skipper,

I might hike next year and I would be interested in your idea of hiking together,

I agree, unless your a very committed couple or blood relatives, I belive planning a group hike is like trying to herd cats for sure.

If you leave Springer in the spring, you’ll have a lot buddies going the same way.

Skipper,
I understand what your going for. Although I’ve never thru hiked, I have section hiked almost all of New England. The fear of being alone can be a big one for many. I always look for at least one person to hike with. I may not have the same pace but at least I know that when I get to camp there will be on familar face.

Many people on this website will tell you that you’ll meet people etc. Its true you will but there is nothing wrong with having a partner.

Herding cats is easy for a good shepard. Good Luck.
