Wow, they are intense right now. I got 7 on me in just a few minutes south of the shelter. According to Wikipedia, there is little chance of contracting Lymes in Florida, but still they are nasty creatures. Also it says “ticks mean deer are present. No deer= no ticks”. They have to have a blood feast 3 times in their life cycle. Gross! Attempts to eradicate them are basically futile. I know that if they are on you and you take a shower, it doesn’t phase them either.
