I should have known better than to use the word “swindle” in my response. Had I given it more thought I would have used “snookered.”
My purpose was not to slur your character, just poke a little humor in your direction.
I did not know about Tilley’s two year, all perils, 50% deductible policy to replace a “lost” hat. Never before, had I ever heard of a company which would replace lost products. BRAVO to Tilley!!
Hope all is well with you and someone finds and returns your hat. This way, with your previously lost hat in hand you can get a guaranteed for life replacement without having to place a claim under the provisions of their lost hat policy and pay 50% of current retail value.
Let go of the “resentment”, life is too short. It was especially full of beauty on this gorgeous autumn day.
