Hey…I will be hiking a segment of the FT near titusvill florida from the 22nd-29th of June. Trail angels would be appreciated…especially drop offs at trailheads. Hiking partners are cool too.

Hammock Hanger…You are right, it tain’t much cooler in nearby states, not even in the mountains. The mountains tend to be no more than 10 degrees cooler and my lack of experience with them leaves me preferring the FT for now, even in June. I deal with it by doing day hikes starting at dawn, taking frozen bottles of water, using scarves that hold a very cold temperature for about 20 minutes (and can be cooled down again wrapped around the ice water).
If you have other tips for staying cool, let me know.
