Traction(AT’05) has a neat journal with some cool hiker designed T-shirts and stickers. He has also got his own label “HELPTRACTIONHIKE.COM” To raise funds for this years hike. Pretty creative idea.

Cool shirts but I’m a little jaded off it. Don’t feel like us hikers need to be supporting eachother. While i’d like a tshirt, I’d rather see someone do cafepress shirts on a nonprofit basis. They only cost like $8 without profit.

Ok, so let me get this straight: no one speaks up about a hiker directing people to their website to sell t-shirts for funding of their AT hike so they can do the trail(or others), and yet I try to sell something like some old backpacker mags, and I’m jumped on because it was first post in awhile.
I’m sorry but what is wrong with this picture? I mean hey, it’s a great idea to sell t-shirts. But if I was doing it to support my trail funding, I’d never hear the end of it.
