I would like to do 20-30 of the Colorado Trail this summer, but would like either the start of end, close to a town to help with pick-up/drop-off and getting back to my car. I’ve done sections 6,7,8 and will be will be leaving from Denver. Any advice? Thanks.

Do segments 1 and 2.
It’s 28.3 miles from Waterton Canyon to the end of segment 2 on FS-550. The TH parking lot is 4.4 miles from the hamlet of Buffalo Creek.
Alternatively, segments 4 and 5 take 30 miles from that TH to Kenosha Pass at the start of segment 6. You already know about Jefferson.
