Has anyone been on segments 25-28 lately? Plan to start from Molas Pass on July 23. Curious of trail conditions in these segments(snow particularly). Also with the heavy snow pack this year has anyone found any seasonal streams in segment 27( 20 miles is a good stretch w/o a drink)

I just completed 25-28 late Thursday. You can maneuver around the snow fields that remain – the most snow is around Rolling Mountain in Segment 25, mile 11.2. Just hike around the fields. Also, I only found water in Segment 27 at the creek/seeps (mile 11.7) and Taylor Lake (mile 19.4). Get the water from higher up at the creek/seeps due to the elk that use the area as a bathroom.
