Is the road marked or is there parking at “Dick’s Creek Gap(US Hwy 76)”? I am looking for a place for my wife to pick me up. Will she be able to tell where the trail cross location ison the highway? Is it marked well?

There is parking at Dick’s Creek Gap. Also a signboard and several picnic tables. There shouldn’t be any problem finding it.

It’s well-marked, looks like a roadside picnic area with gravel parking for 15-20 cars max. Sometimes local motels will post a van there recruiting hikers for a stay in nearby Hiawassee.
If she’s arriving from the south, a good route is from Helen GA over Unicoi gap until you hit US76, then turn right and go 2-3 miles, it’s a nice easy scenic ride.
