Does anybody know if there will be care takers at the Seth Warner and Congdon Shelters over Memorial day weekend?

Also, does anybody know if there is an outhouse at the Sherman Brook primitive campsite?

There was an outhouse at Sherman Brook when I passed thru a few years ago.

Last I knew, the only shelters with a caretaker were as follows: Stratton Pond (including the tenting area around the pond), Peru Peak (Griffith Lake area), Little Rock Pond, Cooper Lodge, Skyline Lodge, Montclair Glen Lodge (Camel’s Hump area), Butler Lodge (Mt. Mansfield), Taft Lodge (Mt. Mansfield) and Watson Camp (Sterling Pond area).
I heard (rumor) that the Sterling Pond shelter was no more. Not sure if this is true or not but if so, it probably burned down this winter.
