Here’s your chance to meet one, maybe:

I’m guessing they take the Romero Canyon Tr from Catalina SP, to the AZ Trail/W Fork Tr at Romero Pass, then continue north/east a ways. (Wild guess based on the website photo and the fact that they’re coming from Arizona City.)

From Ray’s website:

For yesterday’s training we started from Catalina State Park, followed the Romero trail to the Romero ridge, then the Mt. Lemmon trail to the summit. We then turned around and ran back down to Catalina State Park, from where we had started. The elevation change was about 7,000 feet, considering the many downhill sections on the ascent (and of course the uphills on the way down). 13 hours total, with carrying lots of water because of the heat. This was an excellent route and we can hardly wait to do it again!
