Trail rerout in Connecticut

there is rerout of the trail in ct due to bridge work. I just hiked this section, and the rerout wich is longer road walk is unnescesary. There is bridge work being done but it is open to trafic. The blazes haaven been painted over with brown paint but you can still make them out, and they missed a few. The rerout is a much more traveled road and a bit longer. For south bounders the rerout would start at Housatonic River rd. & for North bounders when they hit U.S. 7/conn.112 there is a signe that explains the rerout. Rerout is marked on the road with orange singes witha blaze in the center. Just thought that this might shed a little light on this, plus if you follow the old trail it takes you through falls village where there is a pub.
