i was just wondering if anyone would like to share an appreciation for anyone out there, that profoundly effected your life while on trail.

brooklyn, teatree, cusi, portia, zach, there is a place burned in my mind from the time we have spent together, you have all made me a better person.

… now back to your regular programing. . . . . . .

Billy Goat is my hero. I think he’s up to 25,000 miles by now. He’s quiet, fun, just does his thing with no worries about what other people think. He taught me that thru-hiking every year isn’t abnormal.

His photos and music inspired me to go to places I might not have attempted otherwise - CDT, Beartooths, Canada, Alaska . . . His love and advocacy for the wild places are definitely an inspiration.

Right on, Ginny!

Walkin’ Jim’s gentle self is the ultimate “leave no trace” presence in a pushy, abrasive world. I admire his free and inclusive spirit, and his advocacy of care for our wild places.

Hotstuff is my hee-row. He can sniff out a hot tub from 28 miles off. He can also deny he has the nasty feets to beat all.
