Just bought a Traigia Stove and I think I like it.
Going to start carrying it on my training walks, hike out 3 miles from my home in Ohio, make some hot coca and hike back.
Any other users out their ?
PS: Merry Christmas to all !!

We used the Trangia Stove on both of our hikes and it worked great. No problems in getting it started in Jan. Or Feb. with temps below 10. We could heat water for three meals on one filling. I did not cook with it just heated water. Fuel was no problem to find.

have used it for 6 years nothing to go bad or wear out. a really cheap fuel is dry gas, easily available at wallmart or pep boys. careful not to get any with added carb cleaner - just simple dry gas - flame hard to see in daylight- enjoy - happy new year!

Hi,
One can use the stove in winter also, the key here is to keep the fuel warm. i saw one post that put the alcohol in a booze flask ( marked well with a poison sticker) and kept it in their inside jacket pocket. The curve of the flask is perfect, I am told you do not even know it is there and the lid/measuring cup is just an oz for your alcohol measure.
Good luck!

Hey, I don’t use alcohol stoves - but this may be of interest to those who do: traditionally, rubbing alcohol has been a poor choice fuel because it was only 26% alcohol. But I noticed at the drug store they now sell a rubbing alcohol that says it is over 90% real alcohol. Might be worth giving it a try - especially if you don’t find another source.
