I am interested in becoming a transcriber for an Appalachian Trail Journalist this coming year. I had the privilege of Transcribing for another hiker this past year on another AT website, and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it. I’m willing to do the same again this year, because it was very rewarding to be able to help someone out on their thru-hike. I know I’ll never be able to do a thru-hike myself, until I retire, or win the lottery (come on powerball). I think journals are an excellent way of sharing your adventure, and are important to others planning thru hikes, and to folks who will never be able to experience one.
