Transcribing journals

Good luck to all '09 hikers! As an '08 thru hike “attemptee”, I know the tribulations many are experiencing now. Though knee problems curtailed my hike at 650 miles, I truly embrace this adventure.
My hike was immersed in the chronicling of the trek with an entertaining journal. I am willing and eager to assist other(s) in the task of transcribing trail thoughts and information into a trail journal. I am retired and have the time to do daily entrees,if desired. I can communicate with the hiker through regular mail, email, or by phone. I am willing to trancribe verbatim or write creatively using provided information by the hiker. I am available to any hiker who is interested in keeping a timely journal that provides both a record of the hike and an entertaining chronicle of his/her experience. this is a great service you might consider. Wish I had.

When in town it’s amazing how fast your time goes, getting things done, let alone just chillin, relaxing. Keeping up with my trailjournal became a chore, though i wanted to do it.

I’d highly suggest hikers consider this option. You could take notes each nite on the trail then dictate into telephone voice mail, just quickly type email or whatever, but it saves time in town, allowing you to relax.
