In an average year, June 15 is too early for most hikers to begin SOBO from Breckenridge, as the snowpack on the high passes (Segs 7 & 8) and north facing slopes (Segs 9 & 10) is not all melted. Just FYI. Who knows, though, 2014 snowpack might prove to melt earlier than average, normally can’t tell until early June.
