Flame and I had a great time at Newfound Gap this last weekend. We fed 41 hikers!! The weather was great. In the last four years this was the best weekend we’ve had. In 2001 there was 5 to 7 foot snow drifts and a 5 below wind chill. In 2002 when we thru hike we had an ice storm. Last year it was a mixture of freezing rain and on Sunday, 2 foot of snow. This year is was sun shine and 60 degrees!!!

We saw Poet from '02 just passing through the mountains on vacation. Also, we saw Werewolf of '02 on vacation.
And last but not least, we had a visit from the famous Leif of Trailjournals.
