Anyone know if/when this family group summitted big K in Maine. Their journal is no longer posted. thanks

They moved their journal to the Completed Thru Hike section of Trail Journals although they have not yet put in the final entry re: summit day. They did, however, summit on Sept. 21st according to several other journals on this site that noted their completion.

It is interesting my the Troll family has not yet completed their journal. This was one of the most enjoyable AT journals of the year. There was never a doubt about what this family thought about the trail. Very good read!

Reality Check

The reality of coming back home to a house which had a 19 yr old housesitter has been a little overwhelming. I’m trying to get pictures posted and am posting journals as this process goes along. Sorry.

BTW - we did summit on 21 Sep and then took the train back home to Washington

Thank you for your journal. If anyone has not read it yet I found it one of the most interesting of the year. Great people and an amazing feat to get to spend six months hiking with your son.

They are an awesome family. I havent taken the time to read a lot of their journals, but hiking with them was a pleasure. An awesome family that I look forward to seeing again. It is all good.
