The TYT (Tahoe Yosemite Trail) mostly coincides with the PCT in Yosemite and it starts (if you’re nobo) at Tuolumne Meadows. The JMT continues west from Tuolumne Meadows to Yosemite Valley. So, to answer the question, not really. You could return to TM from Yosemite Valley and head north to Tahoe if you wanted to do that route. Or, instead of heading to the valley, just continue north from TM. It diverges from the PCT some more north of Yosemite. There is a guidebook for the TYT by Thomas Winnett (Wilderness Press. Hope this helps…

Pynk: There is a hiker bus that will take you from TM to Yosemite Valley, you can hang in Backpackers Camp for a day (if you can stand it, very crowded!) and then head over to Happy Isles the next morning to start the JMT. Sounds like two wonderful hikes, I’ve never done the TYT but will repeat my JMT hike next year. Peace…
