A friend of ours had one about 4x6" he took with him in '01. Had fine tissue pages. Isn’t there a religous book store? Can’t think of it’s name, my brother-in-law goes there, a chain store like Halmark, but the name escapes me like everything else. I’ll ask the wife.

There are e-bibles now that weigh less than the real thing!. Check out Franklin Bookman at

somethings are worth the weight b/c they lift burdens! The heaviest Bible is still an “Ultra-light.”

I highly doubt anyone would find my grandmother’s 17-lb bible as “ultra-light”.

Agreed,

here is the thinnest, lightest most compact (readable) Bible that I have found on the market. There are smaller pocket size Bibles, but for all purposes probably your best bet. There also is a model called the slimline but it only contains The New Testemant, Psalms and Proverbs and is paper back. I just got one of these for a friend that is setting out in April.

Pretty cool actually, got her trailname “Hephziba” and “Appalachain Trail 2003” inscribed on it. It is genuine leather and should hold up well.
