Using the CT as access to the Collegiate Peaks

if I were to get to the Colorado Trail at Route 50, and head north, could I conceivably get to the trailheads for the Collegiate Peaks from there up to Leadville? Would each peak take more than a day to get to it’s base, from the CT? Thanks…

I meant to do this last year from the CT, I made it up Yale, only a 4 mile round trip from the trail, and the others were doable, but farther…It came down to having enough food in one go to do the CT and it’s miles and the extra days and miles of the Collegiates. They are pretty bunched up together and you might need some additional support or outs if you want to do them all.

Coming from the north I went west from the ridge that leads to Oxford, Belmont, and Missouri, Harvard and Columbia the next day, and Yale the last. I descended straight down Yale to Cottonwood Pass Rd. instead of back to the CT, but that was just because I was dumb and was running from a thunderstorm. Anyway, the first two are very accessible from the CT, Harvard maybe reasonably so, and Yale is not too far off the Trail. Princeton I believe is a ways above the trail but a quick look at a trail map could confirm any of this. It’s nice back there in the Collegiates and it’s a great way to involve some great peak bagging with the CT. Don’t forget about the southern Sawatch, and Massive and Elbert of course!

…and I heard its not dumb to run from a thunderstorm. So from the north, like Leadville will bring me to a 14,000 footer doorstep in a day? I no real plans on staying on the CT, but use it as a commuter route to lose myself in the Peaks. What’s the nearest resupply, Buena Vista? Thanks…
