Can anyone give me some input as to the weather/temperatures/trend in the Highlands right now? I’m heading up there next weekend with a couple of tweens and am trying to keep their packs as light as possible. I know it “can get cold” in the Highlands through the end of May, but what’s it like this week?

I was in the Highlands for a few days this past week on the way to Trail Days and the weather was very warm and sunny during the day (80 ?). Quick, light showers in late afternoon. Evenings were cool, (50 ish)- I had my 35 deg bag just in case. Warmed up quickly in morning. Light jacket was fine- but I was in shorts and tee 98% of time. I don’t know if that helps any since the weather can change quickly there - probably should check with the folks down there when it gets closer to the week-end. You and your niece and nephew “tweenies” have a good time!!
