Anyone out there know what happened to Vagabon? He thru hiked in 2002 0r 2003.

Karma, thought you might want to pass this along to the 03 maillist.
Vagabond, Mike Fallon, died over Thanksgiving weekend.
His wife said he just stopped breathing, is what I got from Katori and 56.
Spread the word man, one of the 03 is fallen.

paw-ee and i are hoping and praying that this news doesn’t refer to the ‘vagabond’ we met and spent time with in damascus in '03!..i think he was from florida…(and had hiked all over the world)…perhaps he was a physical therapist or something along those lines?..NICE GUY!..we were there in damascus with shaman, mike-a-nango and nasty (some other great guys we’d love to hear from or of)… we had come down into damascus after the blizzard…we grilled burgers with vagabond and relaxed on the front porch at ‘daves’ (while shaman tested out a new hammock!)…since there have been quite a few ‘vagabonds’ out there (though i can’t find any here on this site who have posted journals), perhaps ‘our’ vagabond is not the same as ‘mike fallon’…NEVERTHELESS…this is never the kind of news that is easy for ANYONE to deal with…
it’s always so sad for me to think that there’s one less of us out there hiking the trails of this good life (of which there are so many blessings)…the vagabond we knew (though only briefly) is certainly considered by myself and paw to be one of those blessings!..until we receive more info, however, our hearts do extend prayers and sympathy to the family and friends of mike fallon …
