Video Clips of the AT I took

I know a lot of people are in high anticipation of their upcoming AT hikes so I put together a few minutes of video on the AT using my 3 chip Panasonic DVX100 camera.

Walking on the trail part is shakey (sorry didn’t have my steadi cam with me). The footage was taken June 03. First shots were between standing Indian and Rainbow springs campground. Then a sweep of Max Patch and a minute of my wife and I walking up to Albert Mountain fire tower.

Streamed in Windows Media 9 format.

Thank you for the well done video, I have never seen Max Patch, is that a natural bald? First part of the video looked like you were in a rain forest, very thick, green vegitation. Kudos.

I remember hiking off the AT on a blue blaze near Standing Indian campground. Your footage certainly evoked some warm memories. Thanks

P.S ditto with the Max Patch video.

That was great. I was down on the AT in GA This past June, I remember the rain and fog for sure.

I’m glad you all liked the video. Great way to spark the memories.

Here’s another http://www.magoomedia.com/media/hum.wmv kind of boring video I cranked out yesterday taken at Rainbow Springs Campground of their hummingbirds on the porch. In the middle, I lower the music and you can hear the bird song in the background which also brings back memories of that area.

BTW, Rainbow Springs has a new hiker hostel (A large Yurt) which should be operational this season.

Almost forgot another video of the smokies if anyone’s interested.

Hotfoot, that was great!! I’m well impressed. I’m sending those links to my Mum and Dad so they know where I’ll be spending a good part of 2004. Thanks also for the Rainbow Springs info.

Did you really film all that? Well done!

Sorry but I don’t have them rendered in any other formats at this time. Gotta use the mickeysoft player.
