It's ok so far. We have had a wet July and if things continue you wont's have much trouble. The trail in this area is famous for being dry in the Fall. On your second day as you make it across the valley and up to the ridge that swings you North near the Chestnut Ridge Shelter you will be forced to monitor the water situation closely. The trail follows high ridges that never have water. You will find water just about every time there is a break in the ridge. Never head up a ridge without filling up your water. Quiz every SOBO you encounter about where to find water.
