Water caches - P42 and P43

My wife and I are out and about in northern AZ today and put out two water caches. The first, Passage 42, is about 100 yards north of Hwy 89A (trail left for NOBO) under a tree just before you cross the fence. The second, Passage 43, is about 100 yards north of the start of the passage at the Winter Road (trail left for NOBO) under a juniper tree. Both caches are six gallons. The P43 cache has already been used as we met Gary who just started SOBO today from AZ/UT headed to Pine. Sent an email to Fred for a water sourc update.

I saw your water caches after I had filled up 6 liters at Jacob’s Lake, I wish I knew they were there, but thanks so much for thinking of us!

I added another six gallons to each of these caches yesterday.

P42 now has 11 gallons and P43 has 10 gallons.

I sent an email to Fred for an update to the water data sheet.

Thanks for the caches. What a huge help at a critical section. I emailed fred the updated #'s.
Also note that I also emailed him the correct location. The more northern cache is indicated at the wrong mileage. It should be at the winter road.

Thanks again

Out and about this past week and hiked a bit of P41. We resupplied our P42 and P43 water caches. There are now 13 gallons at the northbound start of P42 and 8.5 gallons at the northbound start of P43. Fred has the updates.

Lots of wildfires burning up the Kaibab right now but nothing seems to be threatening the AZT at the moment.
