my buddy and I are hiking a piece of this trail the week of 10/10. We are concerned about the water situation, particulary between Bromley and Peru Peak which looks like a long potentially dry stretch. Anybody be of help with this?

Thanks Ed. Just waht I was looking for. It’s been so dry here (PA and NJ) lately that a lot of ususally reliable water sources on the AT are dry as a bone right now, especially up high.

I just completed an end to end hike. There was plenty of water. the well works great, just as long as you keep pumping. also peru peak shelter has a sweet little river right in front of it. Bromley shelter has a water source about .1- .2 down the hill from it. There is not a dry stretch of the LT right now. have a good one!

There is an over-abundance of water; at least from Killington to Jonesville. It’s probably like that on most if not all of the LT. It’s been raining practically nonstop since Oct 7.
There’s also an overabundance of mud and “lakes” on the trails, too.
While hiking in the rain day after day and passing stream after stream we joked about how he put a post on here questioning the water situation. You should have no problems.
Have fun.
