Water on Segment 35

Segment 35, Babbitt ranch - there may have been water in Dirt Tank. Cows were walking down the slope toward where the water would be. Bovines are not known for their intelligence.
Upper Lockwood and Lockwood Tanks were both bone dry as of 6/13. (Of course it was Friday the 13th)

Bovines are not known for their intelligence.

Fair enough, but I’ll tell ya, based on too many years of observation now, their water and trail-finding extincts are better than that of most hikers I know (or at least my own)!

Thanks for the report.

Um, make that INstincts.

Freudian slip, wishful thinking.

Upper Lockwood was dry.

Lockwood Tank was dry BUT the steel tank behind the dam had water.

Where the AZT turns left, turn right and walk down the road then through the corral that is behind the dam to the steel tank that has the float system. We filtered out of the covered float tank.

Thanks for mentioning that, Marcia. Good information for future walkers.
