I actually ran into Blisterfree AT the cache. many of the milk jugs were UV damaged and/or frozen and drained. Yappy left 7.5 gallons, but ask for permission. We recommend a truck toolbox or similar chained to the dead tree as a good way to protect the bottles. I hauled water from town to Beehive and Beehive to the spring near Ripsey wash. Antelope Tank was full, but skanky. Hike early, hike late, lay low in the afternoon.
The Wilson trailer court is straight up the road over the Gila bridge on the left. there is a house adjacent to the trailer court and you can reach through the fence to a spigot on the side. AZT hikers have permission says Blisterfree. I bummed water from a neighbor’s garden hose (they came out and waved and i asked nicely for water) as you pass 2 houses just after turning onto the dirt road after the bridge.
NOTE: if you do take the tracks instead of the flagged route, LISTEN!!! The mining equipment is not very loud and moves quick. You have about 15 seconds from the time you hear it to get off the tracks. This is “just speculation” of course.
I had a hard time finding trough spring, fyi. so carry extra from the artesian well near white canyon.
