Is there a decent mileage chart indicating water sources and distances between water sources for the JMT?

There are too many to chart. The only places where there isn’t water every couple of miles are:
At the north end, between Little Yosemite Valley and Sunrise Creek…something like 4 or 5 miles
Coming out of Red’s Meadow, between Deer Creek and Duck Creek (something like 8 miles)
Coming out of VVR going up Bear Ridge (maybe 5 miles?)
and climbing Whitney from the tarn above Guitar Lake.
You’d have to try pretty hard to run into trouble with a water shortage. I would just take 2 liter bottles, and not bother filling the 2nd one except at those 4 places i mentioned, or at your first evening water source if you’re planning on dry camping further on.
