Water update - Arizona Trail

I just made it 175 miles from the border, left for a zero out through Sabino Canyon, and took the tram into Tucson. Every water source is running in the water report. Lots of other streams running between listed sources. I didn’t drink anything but clear water the whole way. Don’t even own a filter, just use MSR sweetwater drops.

I did put a personal cache near the 100 mile mark of food and water, Take AZ 83 off i-10 and go around that way, the trail is just to the west of the road for a while, with numerous dirt roads leading to it.

This is kind of redundant though since The Lake at mile 100.9 looks beautiful, and is alot closer to the marked trail then the water report says. Like its a block away not a mile.

Zero tomorrow then back to the trail and hello to Summerhaven Pie Shop.

do you have a online trail journal?

will

I will, but I don’t post while on trail. It takes to much time for me unfortunately. I tried in 07 on PCT, and it drove me crazy taking all my town time so I stopped.

Any info on snow conditions on Mt Lemmon appreciated. I’m leaving Sunflower today, will yo-yo back for the Huachuca’s and Mt Lemmon when I get to Tusayan.
