FYI. Driving past the canyon this morning, there were all kinds of US Forest Service crews and press trucks covering the fire that apparently began yesterday. I don’t think the closure will be long (in terms of days), but please note that the trailhead at Waterton Canyon is currently closed, and the gate is shut. They are not allowing anyone on the road. Hopefully it will open soon.
