Hey all, we leave nobo on July 11th. Does anbody have info on weather? I know it was a lite winter, I’m trying to find out about current snow levels. River crossing and mosquitoes. Any info is appreciated! Thank you!

I left for an early July trip a couple of years ago during a heavy snow year and had no problems. The passes had lots of snow but it was easy to either follow others footprints or make a bee line to the pass. Finding the trail after the snowfield on the other side sometimes took some searching but because there are few trees up that high by using a map and minimal skill we were always able to run into the trail soon. Mosquitos were only a problem occasionally. Try to time your river crossings early in the morning when the water is lowest if possible. We had no trouble with crossings on our trip. I loved the JMT. By far the best place I have hiked so far. Have a great trip.
