pat peoples!..are there any words?..all of us who knew her (and some of us wishing we had gotten to know her more) will certainly miss the gift of her life and example in the hiking community…
it’s amazing to me how this woman who had accumulated such a “repertoire” of notable accomplishments in life, always so easily and graciously assumed the humble and simple posture of a “servant”…
to me, in this respect she modeled Christ…
over the last two days, i have remembered the blessing of my last opportunity to observe pat “in action”…(it touched my heart then as it does now)…it was at the hardcore event this past may…i know pat wasn’t feeling “great” at the time, but there she was!..serving up BBQ to 60 or so hikers!..she was the last one to get underneath the shelter of the pavilion that day (as the rain was coming down), because her usual hospitality had her busy making sure every last hiker had dessert
!..
pawee and i would like to send our heartfelt sympathy and prayers for comfort to you, bob, and to your family, and to all those hikers out there, like us, who will miss the smile that graced kincora…
