Whatever happened to Bono?

He left the AT in June to hike into NYC. His last “hiking” entry was hiking out of NYC in late June. Since then he’s only posted a few non-hiking pics with no mention of the AT. Has he dropped off the trail?

And there you have it. Last journal we got was 6/2 and he said he would take over from there. Must be in lemon juice. Try holding your monitor over a low flame to expose the secret message. He WAS working at the Mohican Outdoor Center holding a bench down. I think he could be impersonating a hiker in that area. Anyone see any Ding Dong wrappers?

This entry is from AWOL’s journal (July 16?). He was at Mohican then. The next day’s entry shows Bono on the roof.
Who knows where he is now. Change his name to Bounce Box Bono?

As of 7/23 Bono was still working at Mohican…biding his time until resuming northbound hike to arrive at Katahdin “at the height of fall glory”! Or so he says…

He better get moving out of NJ, I was in Palmerton this day last year and we were at the back of the pack finishers. I averaged 14.5 miles/hiking day the second half of my hike. He wants to enter Maine at the height of foliage…what folks don’t realize is that’s usually around Columbus Day w/e. We didn’t start to see color until after Saddleback last year.

On Friday, August 29th my time a Camp Mohican will be thru. The plan is to ride with a new friend up to North Hampton Mass. and make my way to Portland, ME. Of course as with all my plans this is tentative. Who actually knows what I will do.

Education staff member has busted my chops all summer about not being much of a hiker. “Lazy!” Well now that it is time to go, I have extended an invitation to hike for a bit up in Maine, to “prove” my salt as a hiker. (Not that I really give a rat’s ass) Oh how the back pedaling has begun!
