Where is Yogi - Pacific Crest Trail

OK Gang I met up with Yogi Tuesday night 8/19 at Elk Lake Oregon. Long story short she stayed at my camp sight that night telling my about all of your adventures. I dropped her off at the Elk lake Trail head Wednesday Morning 8/20 at 7 AM. She was heading North shooting for a 25 mile plus day. BIG PROBLEM Major Forest Fires growing fast that Day 38 Miles ahead. The fires were in the next two of three Sections? Got word from the forest service hikers are being picked up by Helicopter. She was be heading deep into the probem today… Does anyone know where she is holed up or if she made it around the fires OK. Pleae email and let me know gregcody@gte.net

She ain’t stupid, she’ll be fine, good luck lookin. You might call the park service and let them know to watch for her and about where she is, description etc, prob a good idea.

Sorry I didn’t see this post sooner, but Yogi is fine. She emailed this last Saturday, and said she had a big fire story to tell when time allowed. She said that all PCT hikers appear to be accounted for and unscathed.
