i just found out that i may be able to hike the CT this summer since i only have to take one class this summer. that frees up the second half of the summer, and i am planning on starting 4th of july weekend. anyone else starting around this time who’s looking for a partner?

Tips, I don’t know where you’re from, but if you need a place to stay in TN (Chattanooga) just lemme know. I’m probably doing the Roo again this year as well. I’m not making it out to the CT until July 5 though. Bonnaroo and the CT, does it get any better than that??:cheers

(white mtns) so crashing at your place probably won’t work out. Haven’t figured out how to get from roo to Colorodo yet but really not worried about that either, just excited about going. Half the fun of these experiences is figuring out the details along the way.

Strangely enough I am heading to Bonnaroo this summer, my first time, from the southern NH area. Then most likely to Arizona to drop off my girl. From there straight to Denver to meet up with a friend of mine and off we’ll go, hopefully hitting the trail July 1st! And no it does not get any better than this…drop me an email, i would also be down with getting together at some point during our travels…

I can’t beliee how many of us are going to be on the CT this summer. Seems most of us are starting out between July 1 and July 15th.
BB, Myself, Black Toe Bob and possibly Mac should be on the trail July 12-13th. Hope to run into some of you. Sue/HH:girl

Just found this site a few days ago, but I have been planning a trip on the CT with my best friend since January. We are starting July 6th, but are starting on segment 7 because of time constraints.
This will be my first hike of this magnitude, but I decided this year that I want to get as many things done that I want to get done in life before I get a job, etc. (I am a student at Penn State).
I’ve read a lot of the forum posts and parts of journals. I am extremely hyped for this trip. I can’t wait to be in the Rockies after living my whole life in the east. Maybe we’ll some of you out there.
