damn, i am still rideless for a hitch to trail days.
anyone kind enough in the northeast going that way, holler at me loud and clear now! i am naturally, willing to split the gas costs. i’m in nh. mucho gracias!

Leslie…I was originally going to fly down, but the price of tickets went up. By the sounds of it, driving is going to be much cheaper, even if it is a 14 hour drive. E-mail me if you’re interested in carpooling. I’m near Boston.

I live in the Berkshires of Massachusetts and still waiting to hear if my BF “Draggin” wants to even go to Trail Days. He is currently out on the trail. I originally was looking at leaving Thursday late afternoon, driving through the night to pick him and whoever else up around Pearisburg and head to Damascus, stay Friday and Saturday night…return them to the trail on Sunday and head back home so I could be back to work on Monday. How many days are you both looking to spend going down and back? I’m not sure I want to put that much wear and tear on my van, so I was also looking at a rental van with unlimited miles for $288.00 (would be great to share the expenses) my second option was flying out of Albany going to Johnson City, TN for $306.00, but I would still need a rental from there to get “Draggin” so in turn it would be less travel time but more $$. It would be great to share the driving with a couple people, 14 hours is quite the road trip, but it could be fun. Let me know what you both are doing, I really hope something works out.

Actually, just buckled and bought a plane ticket. Really wanted to save the money, but decided to just get down there ASAP and spend the extra time with people I want to see. Oh well. Sorry I won’t be able to join you.

Attn: Jewels & Leslie! I NEED to a ride to Trail Days too! I’m flexible on the depature date…(Mon-Thur) and of course will split on the gas and driving. I’m down in Brooklyn–15 mins from NJ; (really not out of the way from Mass)

Four of us drove down last year from Trenton, NJ and it didn’t cost that much and was 10-14 hours from there. Drive went fast.

i dunno kids, i think this is more effort than it may be worth. jewels, if you can find more folks to split the van cost and gas with, then i’m definitely game. time is a tickin’ though, i am feeling the urgency of this coming to the forefront. keep me informed on whom else may go. thanks for all your efforts.

I’m driving down, not sure when, but probably Thursday.

Not driving back to NYC until the following week, after hiking the Bland to Pearisburg section.
