i’m all in! Been planning and training the past 6 months. Got a bomb ultralight set-up. WAs going to start later but due to low snow, im going to attend and start during the kickoff. Super excited about getting to meet a bunch or fellow thru-hikers!

I’m in. Starting 19 March. Worried about the snow near Idlywild, even if it a low snow year.

Crow I plan on beeing there. I may have to sell everything I own, but as you put it, we don’t know if we’ll be here tomorrow anyway, so what do these “things” really mean to me besides tieing me to places I don’t really want to be. Do you have a gear list posted anywhere? I’m looking at the Pentax Optio WG-1 for my Camera. It’s 5 OZ, but I wouldn’t be opposed to getting a DSLR. Seems like a lot of wieght though, but the photographs are important to me. Thoughts? Doing the kick off?
“Mad Dog” Murph
I will be hiking it along with Robo Cop and Burning Daylight (Three Little Pigs). Our journal is posted on Trail Journals. I still have a lot a conditioning to do, but am working on it. FYI, Warner Springs is closed this year and the store there is closed. The post office is still open. If you don’t send a box there, you will need to carry enough food from Mt. Laguna to Idyllwild. We plan to start early and go slow, but will drive back to the kickoff. Hope to see some of you there.

I am planning on starting around Julian last week of March. Hope there isn’t much snow then.

I have only started planning. Anyone looking for a hiking buddy? I would like to find someone

Doing WA section starting July 24th. Hope to end by August 26th (seems reasonable). Will be doing hamburger trail magic in mid-September around White Pass.
