Hi everyone.
Since I last posted here, there there have been a couple more hikers who are planing to join me and John on the AZT, at least for a few weeks.
They will be arriving by car, and will be picking me from the tuscon airport on the evening of the 18th, though we might end up spending the night in phoenix (I am actualy far too busy right now to do most of the planing, so John is doing it).
In addition a number of trail angels have generously offerd us their help, and I’m wondering wether with the increased number of hikers, creating relativly larger water caches would make sense.
This might also would work well for other hikers, who plan to start around mid March, as they might want to join us at least for the problematic southern section of the trail, enjoying the safety of numbers.
Anyone interested?
Also, info about water from the hikers just ahead of us might be very usefull.
I know about a couple of people starting in a week.
Does anyone know about anyone else starting soon in the southern terminus?
Thanks
Roni
